well its been a big week couple of weeks for me

i spent all of last week up at twin waters with my uni mates! it was awsome fun and lots of drinking was had. the night before i went up, i found out that my grandfather was sick in hospital in caloundra, which just so happens to be on the way to twin waters. so we went up and visited him. the next day i recieved a call from my parents telling me that my grandfather had terminal liver cancer. i was shocked and in pain and i was lucky to be surrounded my friends who care for me so much.

the weekend after i returned from twin waters, we went up to caloundra again to visit my grandfather. he could barely talk and was very weak as he was unable to keep his food down. he was also frustrated that he was unable to even lift his cup to have a drink. we then went for a walk so that he could be helped to releave himself, and while we were gone my nana told us that she was informed by the doctors that he only had afew days to live. we went back, and he told me to get a haircut. it was the last thing my grandfather said to me. seconds prior to leaving, i leaned over and hugged and kissed him for the last time and whispered into his ear that i loved him. we left and as i walked out of the room i took one last look at him, knowing i would never lay my eyes upon the man, my grandfather, again.

afew days passed and he grew weaker. on tuesday morning at 7:20 my dad called from work, pop had died at 5:55 that morning.

on friday we went up to caloundra for his funeral and cremation, it was a very sad time and yet i am pleased that his suffering is over.
